Custom-made crocheted blankets made-to-order
Just so you have some pictures of other projects I've completed (they were for gifts, etc, and so are not for sale...but if you like them, I can certainly make another!), I'm posting pictures of those as well. Not dial-up safe! If you've followed my personal journal, you've probably already seen these. :)
This is one I completed most recently for my goddaughter. She wanted a red-white-blue one for her bed.
This one I made for my brother and my sister-in-law for their wedding. It's the largest piece I've completed to-date--covers a queen-size bed, even with enough overhang for a pillow-top. Done in single-stitch so it's very warm. Peter and Kate love it since it matches the color scheme in their bedroom, living room, and office/second-bedroom. I guess it helps when you're there to help paint and so have an accurate grasp of their color palette. :)
This was my first consignment--my uncle and aunt wanted a throw to go with their new living room set--and it's in winter tones. I used a deep hunter green, a soft cream and a deep burgandy so the blanket wouldn't look too "Christmas-ish."
My oldest goddaughter, Ashley, asked me to make a black-cat blanket...and since I'm not quite talented enough to acrually crochet a cat design on a blanket, I used a charcoal black, heather gray, a creamy tan, and some fun novelty yarns to make her a black calico blanket. Since it's made primarily of homespun, it's almost as soft as baby-yarn, but not as light-weight.
